Scan the physical cards
How to use the app's scanner to open Efatah cards, in Hand or Desk mode.
Every Efatah physical card has a QR code on the back and a short code on the front (for example F01·02·K). The app recognizes the card through the camera and opens the word, with audio and examples.
How to scan
- Open the Library tab.
- Tap Scan.
- The first time, the app asks for camera permission and shows a short how-to animation (later available under How to scan?).
Two modes
- Hand: hold the phone and show the card inside the frame.
- Desk: lay the phone on the table with the rear camera facing up and pass the cards over it. The app says each word aloud, so you do not need to look at the screen.
What opens
- Word card: the word appears under Last read, in the language you are learning and in yours. The first scan moves the word to Seen.
- Section card: a sheet to open that section.
- Chapter card: a sheet to open that chapter.
Pointing your phone’s regular camera at a card’s QR also opens the app in the same place. Without the app installed, it opens a page with a preview of the card.
Camera images are processed on the device, in real time, and are never stored or sent.
