Camera, microphone and notifications
Why the app asks for each permission and what happens to the data. All of them are optional.
Efatah asks for permissions only when you use the feature that needs them. All are optional and can be turned off in your device settings.
- Camera: to recognize the physical cards. Images are processed on the device in real time and never stored or sent.
- Microphone and speech recognition: for pronunciation practice. Audio is processed by the system’s speech service (Apple or Google), which, depending on device and language, may use Apple’s or Google’s servers. We never receive or store the audio. Without the microphone, lessons swap speaking for another exercise.
- Notifications: for the study reminders you choose. They are scheduled locally on the device.
- Internet: to download content and updates. See the data the app uses.
