Using mobile data

The app can download over mobile data. How to turn it off and what happens when you do.

Efatah downloads little at a time, so mobile data is on by default.

To turn it off

In Settings › Downloads, in the network section, turn off mobile data. Larger downloads then wait for wi-fi.

What keeps working

Even with mobile data off, the app still fetches the essentials of the current section (text and images) so you are never stuck. Audio waits for wi-fi; meanwhile the device voice speaks instead.

The Downloads screen also shows how much internet the app used this month.
