Reviews: why old words come back
The app brings back, inside new lessons, the words you are close to forgetting. Here is how it works.
Words from earlier sections show up now and then in new lessons. That is on purpose: it is how Efatah helps you not forget.
How it works
Every word you get right is given a date to be asked again. The gap grows as the word gets stronger:
- Learning: back after 1 day.
- Practised: back after 3 days.
- Consolidated: back after 7, then 14, then 30 days.
When the date arrives, the word joins a normal lesson, mixed with new words. Each lesson saves at most three spots for this, so reviews never take over.
I missed an old word
That is fine. It comes back sooner, and its level does not drop.
There is no review screen
You never need to “do reviews”. Your only job is the next lesson; the app brings back what is needed. Completed sections stay open if you want to replay one.
